The countryside around Marbury is characteristically sculpted by the retreat of successive ice ages. Small lakes or 'meres' abound, surrounded by gentle hills and often hidden from the road (but not from those who know..). The Llangollen Canal passes by only 1/2 a mile from the village. Just twenty minutes' drive north-west of Marbury are the imposing Peckforton Hills, part of the famous Sandstone Trail, which afford literally breathtaking views across the Cheshire Plains...
In short, while Marbury is a delightful oasis of quiet country life, there's a super range of 'Things To Do' within spitting distance!
So take your choice from the activities below, which will eventually move you on from The Swan's website.
